Based upon the initial learning outcomes of these tasks implemented inside and outside of the classroom, their potential to draw out more meaning-focused speaking output is discussed. Administrative and logistic issues are addressed and recommendations on how to better carry out the tasks and prepare for the challenges are presented. The conclusion is that asynchronous online output tasks promise to increase student speaking time even beyond the classroom and are in sync with the practicality of in-class traditional communicative activities.}, pages = {21--30}, title = {Asynchronous Online Output Tasks to Increase Student Speaking Time}, volume = {6}, year = {2020} }
